OOTD – Summer Wedding Fashions

Hey beautiful people,

I just wanted to drop a quick line and post a few OOTD pics from this current wedding season. I have attended 2 summer wedding events so far (well 1 technically not – 1st week of June). It’s always hard for me to decide what to wear when temperatures are sweltering. I hate being hot and sweaty while in my “good clothes” and prefer being cute, and comfy all summer. So scroll below for a couple pics of the outfits I chose to rock with.

These pictures are from the not-so-quite-summer wedding I mentioned. A friend got married in the Bahamas and it was nice and tropical (read – nice and hot!). This navy blue lace dress (Badgley Mischka) was the perfect balance of cool and cute. With sheer, lace sleeves and cut-outs at the back, it was quite breathable. I bought this dress over a year ago and needed somewhere to wear it – then I had the idea for the wedding. I wasn’t all the way sold that it would be a winner until I began to pair it with rose gold accessories. And wallah! We got a winner…..both navy and non-transparent lace can be kind of muted, but the rose gold definitely made everything pop!

This other number is also perfect for a summer wedding. Sleeveless and midi length this black and pink dress is super cute. I bought this at H&M a couple seasons back and it was perfect for such an event. Again, my accessories are always a huge focus and equally as important as the dress/clothes itself. Remember I poured out my heart and told you that I have a love affair with accessories? Especially statement pieces see it here.

So I chose to add splashes of pink (a darker fuchsia) and sparkle to complete this overall look.

So there you have it, my OOTDs so far as it relates to the summer wedding season. There will be more to come – guaranteed. What kind of looks do you like for “dressy” events during summer? Fill me in below, I may just recreate some of them 😉
