Good morning good people,
This is just a quick post to share with you a poem that I recently discovered. It’s a poem that most of you probably know or have at least heard before. Well, I knew like one line from the entire thing – not knowing it was apart of a bigger piece of work. So I figured, if I had never heard it, others of you probably haven’t either. Therefore, I’m going to share it with you.
This poem is heavy with motivational moments and motivational quotes. It speaks to fear, not of being not good enough but afraid that we may actually succeed. Remember in the beginning of 2017 I wrote a post called All Faith No Fear? This basically cements that sentiment. So take a read and let it motivate and inspire your entire life (like it did mine). Here’s to a great Monday and a great week.
Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
