Chocolate Banana Smoothie

So if you guys follow my blog you know that I love experimenting in the kitchen. I get pure pleasure from mixing together this and that to get tasty results. I love bananas and I love chocolate, I also love banana smoothies – so why not put em all together?

With that said, I have another yummy concoction for you…a chocolate banana smoothie that’s chock full of heart healthy ingredients.

I made this a few mornings ago for breakfast and it was soooo good! Check below for the recipe and enjoy!

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk (I use almond)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground flax seeds (feel free to use up to 1 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp shaved chocolate
  • 3 - 5 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel bananas and add to blender
  2. Add milk and remaining ingredients to blender
  3. Blend on medium to high until ingredients are cohesive and smooth (about 2 minutes)
  4. Serve topped with a sprinkle of shaved chocolate and enjoy!
